Day 16 - Your views on mainstream music.
So this is an interesting question. I probably won't do it justice but here I go.
I mentioned in an earlier entry that I never really listened any music besides Christian contemporary and how my preferences were limited to things here and there. However I guess my views wouldn't necessarily hinge on what I listened to eh? Therefore I guess I'll go on to say I think music is great but at the same time can be so unfortunate for people. It captures the thoughts and actions of people in such an amazing way, however it can also put such unoriginal thoughts in their minds.
In a world where creativity seems to be dwindling can we not form thoughts that express our emotions that have not already been expressed in a top 40 song? I mean I'm not saying its bad to reference a song here and there, but a song shouldn't describe your every emotion. Sure there are millions of songs out there but YOU are an unique individual no matter what anyone says. Therefore you possess unique thoughts and mannerisms on your emotions.
So perhaps we should all reconsider how we form these emotional thoughts.
I'm not really sure how/what I'm trying to get to here but hopefully those reading get it?
If not feel free to ask me, I'd be more than willing to elaborate and just talk about any viewpoint I have.
