Day 20 - How important you think education is.
Education to me I think is quite important. Especially in the early years. However there is a line that I draw. There are things that one must learn through practical means and not just by studying. I know many would agree with me on this but I feel that the school systems need to embrace this aspect and attempt this kind of change. Yes it's nice that "no child is left behind"; however should we not learn more practical ways to apply the knowledge that we're learning. Through this process not only would we learn but find out what is actually useful. For unfortunately there are too many things that we learned in school that many of us no longer use in our daily lives.
Even so like I said education is important. All of us have stories from experiences from grade school and high school on things that will hopefully be forever ingrained. Memories that taught us countless things. Teachers who showed us the way to numerous topics, who poured their hearts into conveying us the world of academia in the (hopefully) best way possible. We all had at least one teacher who was just so great and did such a fantastic job doing so.
Therefore I'll stick with my stance on how education is important, but that we should stress the more practical use of our knowledge instead of letting the work, time, and knowledge waste away.
